It’s not AI that will kill you, it’s the malaise

There’s a real malaise out there at the moment — a big collective meh.
A “can’t be arsed” energy that’s seeping into everything.

People are doing less, achieving less, putting in less… yet complaining more.
Everything’s expensive… resources are tight… opportunities feel scarce…
But at some point you’ve got to find some energy.

And the doom talk?
“The world is doomed.”
“AI will kill all the jobs.”
I’ve heard versions of that for 25+ years in IT.
The internet was supposed to wipe out work.
Automation was supposed to end everything.
Now it’s AI’s turn.

But here’s what I’ve actually learned over those decades:
People who get up, adapt, and do something always land on their feet.
People who wait to be rescued rarely move forward.

That’s partly why I started The Tidy Garden.
Not to impress anyone.
Not to chase likes or applause.
But because I needed it — the movement, the purpose, the fresh air, the feeling of doing something real.
Hands in the soil.
Head clear.
Actions that matter.

If you don’t like where you are, change it.
If life feels flat, go find your spark again.
And do it for YOU — because you need it more than anyone else.

It’s not about money.
It’s about mindset.
It’s about apathy — and refusing to let that take over your life.

You’re not owed a good life.
You build one.
Brick by brick.
Choice by choice.
Action by action.

Be the difference.
Be the leader.
Be the motivator — even if no one wants to hear it.

Life rewards effort.
Always has, always will.
